Old (most recent) passport

Your passport must be:

not damaged
received within the past 15 years
issued when you were over 16 years old
still have the same name as in passport

Your previous passport will be returned to you with your new passport.

Travel Itinerary

Copy of a plane ticket, or travel itinerary with the applicant’s name showing dates and flight information for a departure within 14 days or 30 days in case you need a visa.

Two (2) passport photos

They must be recent, identical, 2×2 inches, on completely white background. No glasses, no hats.

Complete the form online and print out the application. Sign and date it using black or blue ink.

The form must be completed online. Online system generates a custom bar code for each application in the top left corner. Applications without a barcode will not be accepted.

When will I get my new passport?

Urgent processing time is 3-5 business days, not including shipping or courier delivery time.

How much does it cost to expedite my passport?

To expedite the passport, you must pay the government fees, expedited shipping both ways and service fees.

What if I am travelling this month?

Expedited processing times for U.S. Passport office are 6-9 weeks and do not include. To get your passport sooner, you must schedule an appointment at on of the Passport Agency Centers by phone or use sherpa to expedite passport renewal and avoid appointments altogether.

How do I renew my passport?

You can renew your passport if you have your previous passport, it is undamaged, issued when you were 16 years or older, and issued within the last 15 years. If it doesn't meet these criteria, you'll have to apply for a new passport instead.
